Team of Two is a heart-warming song about caring for someone living with a disability, written The Tailormade and released to mark Carers Week 2019 10 – 16 June.

Having listened to Marie talk about caring for her husband, MS Society Ambassador Stuart Nixon MBE, Jack said: “Marie gave the most beautiful speech where she said ‘being a carer is, you get up, you get on with it, it’s just what we do’.

“There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. What happened next only ever happens in cartoons, but a lightbulb appeared above my head! I had to write a song about this team of two…”

On hearing the song, Stuart said: “Sharing is at the centre of what we do, and the song picked up Marie’s line ‘it’s just what we do’. That really sums Marie and me up – we’re a team.

“It’s not a 50-50 split as Marie does far more than I ever do, but we see it as the two of us together. By being a unit we can take on the world. I don’t have MS, we have MS.”
